Company Background
A+ Design & Consulting LLC was founded in 2010, but the experience behind it goes back much further.
Our founder Leonard Taylor grew up in Southwest Washington, and graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1990. From there, he served four years in the United States Navy from 1990 to 1994, then earned a degree in Chemistry from the University of Washington in 2002.
Before opening A+ Design & Consulting, he spent two years as the Pacific County septic inspector from 2006 to 2008 — work that gave him a rare inside view of how county health departments evaluate designs, what makes them approve a project quickly, and what causes delays. In 2010, he became a licensed Septic Designer and opened A+ Design & Consulting LLC to serve property owners, builders, and developers across Southwest Washington. In 2018 wetland regulations changed, he went through the property state trainings and has now become a Certified Wetland Delineator under Portland State University's wetland delineator program.
The firm has grown into a full-service environmental and land-use consultancy — handling septic design, wetland consulting, stormwater plans, energy code compliance, and permit procurement at every level of government.
